Problem
India's real estate market is fragmented and trust-deficient. Buyers chase unverified listings across platforms, while owners, brokers, investors, and channel partners have no dedicated space to work from.
Solution
Designed a comprehensive real estate platform from the ground up, covering 7 distinct user roles (Buyers, Property Owners, Brokers, Builders, Investors, Channel Partners, and Admin) across the web, with each role having its own experience.
Impact
Delivered 60+ developer-ready screens across 7 user roles for the web platform. The Buyer and Property Owner flow covers property discovery, hyper-local search, financial tools, listing management, etc., all within a single, cohesive design system built for scale.

India's real estate platforms are fragmented, & untrustworthy.
As of mid-2024 to early 2025, NCRB data indicates RERA fielded over 1.25 lakh consumer complaints nationwide, while property fraud cases continue to rise year-on-year. Hence the brief was to design a single trustworthy ecosystem serving 7 distinct stakeholders, without any one experience feeling like a compromise.

Trust Deficit
Most platforms rely on self-declared lister information with no mandatory KYC, enabling fraudulent listings.
Zero Hyper-Local Discovery
No GPS-based nearby property search.
No Unified Platform
Connecting buyers, owners, brokers, builders, investors, and channel partners.
Inline financial tools
Financial tools (EMI, CIBIL) were siloed to third-party sites, breaking the research flow.
Understanding the Stakeholder Ecosystem
Property Deals had an established offline business, hence we already had a list of 7 defined stakeholders operating within their network. We mapped each role against their goals, access levels, and pain points and translated that into a structured digital permission model.

Key Design Decisions Taken
After analyzing the scope and the above stakeholder flow, these were the design decisions taken:
Trust as a visual layer
KYC badges and verified shields as first-class UI elements to gain buyer’s trust.
GPS-powered local discovery
Listings based on the user's current location, reducing the steps to hyper-local search from multiple filter inputs to a single toggle.
Role-specific navigation
Applied Recognition over Recall, each user lands on a dashboard built for their specific task.
Inline financial tools
EMI Calculator and CIBIL check on a single screen, no third-party redirects. This allows user to stay in flow.
Designing Property Deal’s online experience
The platform covers 7 fully designed user flows, however for the portfolio we are going to focus only on the two primary flows — Buyer and Property Owner.
The Buyer’s Experience

"Nearby Property" toggle surfaces listings based on current location. It reduces hyper-local search from multiple filter inputs to a single interaction.

Amenities grid with icons keeps the spec sheet scannable.
Both financial tools on a single screen, to avoid redirects during the research phase hence maintaining the flow.

As the product was still in the development phase, here’s few expected design impact we worked for:
Credible Listings at Scale
KYC verification and verified badges gain buyer trust by directly address, fake listings and rental fraud prevalent in urban centers.
Faster Property Discovery
Smart filters and GPS-powered local search reduce time to find relevant listing.
Lower Inquiry Drop-off
Persistent contact CTAs and Schedule a Call reduce abandonment at the highest drop-off point in online real estate.
Streamlined Owner Operations
A single dashboard replacing manual, phone-driven listing and inquiry management, help saving time and reducing errors.
Higher Buyer Engagement
Inline EMI and CIBIL tools keep buyers in platform through out the research to decision journey.
Scalable across cities
The platform is designed to scale the offline (90% success rate) model digitally across cities without manual coordination.
Reflections
What I would Do Differently
External user testing
All prototype walkthroughs were internal. External testing with real buyers and owners would have surfaced friction points.
Deeper verification layers, such as agent reviews, response rates etc. could have further strengthened user trust while decision-making.
Constraints & Honest Gaps
No launch data
The platform had not launched at the time of my involvement, so all outcomes are projected based on design decisions rather than measured results.
Brand guideline of the existing company was strictly followed. Refining contrast levels, text readability, could have supported a wider range of users.
